Service Description
In this workshop, we explore the three types of empathy and how compassion helps us to remain engaged and connected with people even in the most challenging circumstances. Through a combination of didactic learning, discussions, and arts experiential, attendees will explore the three types of empathy (emotional empathy, cognitive empathy, and motivational empathy). We will examine the benefits and liabilities of each. Finally, we will consider how emotional and cognitive empathy can lead to burn out as well as the protective factors of motivational empathy (also called compassion).
