Research has shown CBCT to have positive effects on our wellness.  These effects include significant decrease in stress biomarkers,  inflammatory response, depression, loneliness, and PTSD symptoms. In addition, research has shown significant increases in hopefulness, compassion, empathy, and self-compassion.  Early research shows a link between compassion and resilience.

CBCT is offered as an eight week course both on line and in person.

During the 8-week course, participants receive in-depth guidance as they explore the following topics:

  • Connecting to a Moment of Nurturance

  • Developing Clear and Stable Attention

  • Enhancing Self-Awareness

  • Cultivating Self-Compassion Part I: Accepting Our Vulnerabilities

  • Cultivating Self-Compassion Part II: Finding Meaning in Our Vulnerabilities

  • Expanding Our Circle of Concern

  • Deepening Gratitude and Tenderness

  • Harnessing the Power of Compassion

Classes will be will online and in person around Maine!
